but being really honest I was for a few days then it slipped my mind

A New Part Of Me To Look At

What this post is about is me joining deviantART.com

I realised a couple of days ago that I should have joined up aaaages ago,
So decided to jump straight into it,
I put up the SMBC fan art piece,
And also uploaded an old piece I did at uni.

This next nugget of information may put some people into shock.
I did started and actually finished a piece today!

Yes I am saying I got of my arse,
started something,
and stuck with it.

Now it isn't a massive piece,
Or anything to complicated,
But it's work none the less.

The piece is a character idea for a webcomic series,
It's up on DA already,
but if and when it gets put into a comic here will be the only place to find it,
as I don't want to be putting all my comics up there.

Okay so it's become apparent that I'm already running dry on material,
I now have internet access everyday,
but am not updating regularly enough,

So when i get back to my flat tomorrow,
Im going to sit down and draw some stuff out,

As I have to decide upon how Im going about colouring them.

I feel like I'm in a war film right now,
Obviously a very poorly budgeted and badly cast war film,
But a war film nonetheless.

The film situation:

I've been wounded but somehow made my way back to base,
Only to find out that my best friend/brother/long lost gay lover
(delete as you see appropriate)
Is behind enemy lines,
Badly wounded,
But has not yet been discovered,
Noone knows of his exact whereabouts,
But There are a series of clues he left that only I would understand,
So I have to brave the harsh truth that is this war,
And go behind enemy lines,
Facing countless perals and hardships,
To bring back the lost soldier,
Noone knows how things will pan out,
But there's a strong feeling we'll both get back alive (but hurt),
And will probably cry at some point.

The real life situation:

I have a sore shoulder and I slept in so it's now late afternoon,
I need to buy the remainder of my Christmas gifts,
They are in town and it's pretty damn icy,
I don't know where to get some stuff and whether they will be in stock,
I have to find loads of little presents as well as one larger one,
So I have to brave the harsh truth that is winter,

I now officialy have mobile broadband!
But I'm not too sure how long the 2GB will last me as I think I've been conned,
I've been told browsing doesn't use up my 2GB (download limit is seperate)

This is just a short update to let you know I'm not dead,

And also to inform people of something I found out a few weeks back,

To have the most fun possible in a shower,
and to make it feel like you're in an old computer game,
listen to 8-bit music.

If you don't know hwat 8-bit music is,
It's a style of music using (mostly) noises from old games consoles.

But after finding this out I realised that 8-bit music has a much better use.

Late at night on some TV channels,
A man or woman appears at the bottom of the screen to do sign language for that show.

Now what you need to do is simply mute your TV,
Put on your favourite 8-bit track,
Sit back and rela whilst watching the person who should be signing

having a rave instead.

I found out last week that my new flat lies in a 3G No Man's Land
The single strip of my town that has no 3G coverage at all

This means the mini series I was going to launch

Okay, so this post hasn't been very funny but my life hasn't been lately,

Let me use a few days back as an example, shall I?

After just missing my bus
and having to wait half an hour for the next one
I sat down half way toward the back of the bus.
Two stops later on my journey,
A middle aged man gets on, speaking rather loudly sounding confused.

Don't worry,

Just hang in there,

So this "strange" fellow jumps on the bus,
and sits on one of the front seats facing sideways,
Another two stops later and a second,
yes a second middle aged man gets on,
This guy however, is muttering to himself.
He's telling himself how nice a day it is outside,
and how great it will be to be on the bus.
This gentleman sits right next to the first.

Now if it were anybody else with a front row seat to what could be
the funniest conversation on Earth,
things would have padded out differently.

But for some reason,,
God places two complete nutters next to each other on the bus,
and they have
the most coherent and uneventful exchange

This May Be The Nerdiest Thing I Will Ever Ask

Well I was all for writing a nice nerdy update on how I had decided to no life Freecell,
when the bastard child of Microsoft decides to throw a spanner in the works.

Now I'm not a perfectionist, but I've begun to accumulate a nice 100% record on this game.
I know it's not the hardest of games or the biggest of accomplishments,
but I want to keep it at 100

All was going fine up until my 208th game.

Looked simple enough,
but there was a little secret hiding in the shadows.
Microsoft's big gloved "dirty uncle" hand,
and it tried to virtually molest me!!!!

In other words, my genitals got fondled.

Which is my new slang for "had me stumped" (reference to twiddling ones thumbs)

Last night (or the early hours of this morning if you wish to argue) I somehow managed to invent a game that I would like to share with the world.

All you need is;

a friend who is sleepy,
(preferably) a house that you are both staying in at the same time,
(preferably) separate rooms,
a phone,
a way of barricading yourself in above mentioned separate room,
(preferably) a horde of archers,
(preferably) a group of 20-50 halberds and
(preferably) a few cavalry

All your friend needs is;
a phone,
a loud ringtone/vibrate setting and
an unholy army of imps and succubi.

One you have ticked all or as many (all for full effect) of the above boxes (what boxes I here you cry???.....well I reply with fuck you! :) ) and recruited your wiling men, you need to wait until your sleepy foe wanders off to fall prey to the world of five headed dogs and wet dreams.

After waiting maybe 20 or so minutes (best for you to judge [take into account how fast they normally go to sleep, how tired they are now etc.]) bring out your weapon of choice. For me it was the Sony Ericsson W810i.

Begin a new text, and simply type the words "Sleep Theft" and send to your netherworld drifting friend. Wait for the sweet sound of the first battle cry as their ringtone breaks through their world of green pastures and ponies, and taste the sweet nectar of your first victory as you hear the mumbled moan of "You f**kin' b@$t@rd!" from the mouth of your wounded adversary.

You have now become a part of the ever growing phenomena of Sleep Theft ^tm

But don't think this is the end of it. You should by now be hearing footsteps approaching your door, and if you haven't started barricading yourself in, get to work.

You should expect to be verbally abused for up to 4 hours so find anything that could be regarded as food in the room and keep it close.

If and when the barrage of insults and your uncontrollable laughter subsides open the door, proclaim victory face to face and await the retaliating strike.

True Untouched Elegance

I feel like following on with the theme of dark for this next post,
so turn out the lights.

A few days ago, on the full moon to be exact, I walked into my ktchen to see the moonlight steaming through the window and spilling softly onto the floor.

It shone with a timeless elegance normally only captured in the portraits of young Elizabethen women. The kind you would see a hefty price tag on as it hung on a wall of a beautifuly decorated art gallery. An art gallery in the middle of a long lost forest, out of the way of all other human contact. Untouched by anything except the hands that made it the air that blows past it and the sun and moon that shine down upon on it.

It almost brought a tear to my eye.

I thought in that second, my life may be complete. Until I realised one thing. I would have to show it to someone else and share this gift to truly feel its benefit.

As everyone else in the house was asleep and wouldn't appreciate its beauty, especially if I woke them up at the untimely hour that it was, I grabbed at my phone and proceeded to caapture a photo of it.

I think today I became the first person to get motion sickness whilst walking. Then again it could have been the severe hangover i was suffering from due to excessive alcohol intake in the early hours of the morning.

This coupled with the bridge that looked 5 minutes away and took me 20 minutes to get to got me into such a rage that i could have punched my depth perception in the face.

If only I knew how damn far away it was!

Over the foreseeable (spelling?)future, you will be granted free access into all the things that are happening in my life, random cartoons and things I find funny. If you don't find it brings a smile to your face then I'm sorry and I will happily try and find something that does just drop a comment anywhere, and I might just not ignore it.
